pylimma.qqt(y, df=inf, plot_it=True, **kwargs)[source]

Student’s t probability plot (Q-Q plot).

Produces a Q-Q plot comparing sample quantiles against theoretical quantiles from a t-distribution.

Parameters:
  • y (array_like) – Sample values (e.g., t-statistics).

  • df (float, default np.inf) – Degrees of freedom for the t-distribution. Use np.inf for a normal distribution.

  • plot_it (bool, default True) – If True, produce the Q-Q plot. Requires matplotlib.

  • **kwargs – Additional arguments passed to matplotlib’s plot function.

Returns:

xndarray

Theoretical quantiles.

yndarray

Sample quantiles (sorted input values).
